DAYTONA USA – A TRUE LEGEND IS BACK

Image
Although I'm late to the party. Guess what I played on the other day? The fastest and flashiest arcade racer of all time is back for one more go! The cabinet with 47” LED monitor linkable for up to eight players. “This is a game changer. This is a premium game that delivers on quality, player experience and operator features that sets a very high bar for arcade video racing games. Importantly we have based it on the original game engine that gave us the amazing ‘AI’ and ‘catch up’ feeling that we all grew to love” commented Patrick Michael, Head of Local R&D . At SEGA we have always been passionate about developing the best arcade racing games, it’s part of our DNA, so to have the opportunity to work on this title that truly captures the spirit of the racing scene in Daytona is nothing short of an honour.” commented Sega’s   CEO Paul Williams. Game's That Pushed the PlayStation

Image
I've played almost every game the PlayStation has to offer, even the Japanese exclusives. But in my personal opinion, these are the games that pushed the PlayStation Hardware to the extreme. Naturally I couldn't fit them all in, but these are the games that made me sit up and go... "Wow!" It's is too easy to look at these games today and quickly dismiss them, but at the time, the PlayStation console and the developers supporting it really showed us what Sony's hardware could do. Not many console's got the chance to showcase their true potential, but with the Sony PlayStation, we witnessed humble beginnings turn into leaps and bounds. Image
What really makes the Game Gear great even today is it's shockingly large library of quality games. There are 368 of them. Despite the system not being as popular as the Game Boy, it did have a fairly long shelf life and has more Sonic The Hedgehog games than the Genesis/Mega Drive. Watch my new series of the top five of everything starting with the Game Gear. Youtube Video - Top Five Game Gear Thanks for your support, leaving a comment, or rating my video! Atari 7800 Prosystem Discovery, Was it Any Good?

Image
This is the first time I’ve ever poked a stick at the Atari 7800. I’ve walked away thinking “what if?”. There are some fantastic arcade conversions and Ninja Golf is as equally bizarre as it’s playable. For a system I knew very little about, this discovery has been a sight for sore eyes. After doing this video I now also noticed that Space Invaders and many other new games are available for the Atari 7800 and I’m now considering a full collection of new and old games. Hope you enjoyed and please do me the honour of subscribing if you want to see more and would like to support this channel. FACT: The Atari 7800 was originally developed in 1984 as the Atari 3600. It was actually designed by a company called General Computer Corporation (GCC). As part of a lawsuit settlement, GCC had been sued for releasing an unlicensed speedup chipset for Atari's arcade version of Missile Command Backwards compatibility with the Atari 2600 is a huge plus. The reason for the outdated sound...
